READY, SET, GO! - ACTION DOG PHOTOGRAPHY

It makes me laugh when someone says: “I’d love a photoshoot with my dog but man he will not stay still for 2 seconds.”

My response is omg he is perfect for a photoshoot!

I shit you not.

I’ve spent many years photographing concerts, festivals and protests and I LOVE when there is movement and spontaneity on a photoshoot. I always try and pick the best angle and set up to get the shot, then I let the dog do it’s thing and I just click away. Yup I can get over 1000 clics in one action filled photoshoot!

Of course I always sneak in some more traditional images or close-ups of their unique features but what gets my blood pumping is a happy crazy dog just having a blast.

When I get photos with the owner I always get some interaction between the two (or three) give the paw, belly rubs, kisses, etc…

I can’t tell you how proud I feel when someone reaches out to me and says” I have a crazy dog I think you’ll love him”

(Crazy is used in a loving way to describe a high energy pup)
